The Pittsburgh Thunderbirds take on the Detroit Mechanix at JC Stone Field. The Mechanix has never defeated the Thunderbirds in their 8-year history, and look to continue that streak in 2022.

Founded in 2015, the Pittsburgh Thunderbirds are a professional Ultimate Frisbee (Disc) organization in the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL). The team is part of the Central Division and plays against the Detroit Mechanix, Minnesota Wind Chill, Indianpolis AlleyCats, Madison Radicals, and Chicago Union. The AUDL’s 12-game season commences in April and ends with the AUDL Championship in late August. All home games are played at J.C. Stone Field in Wexford, PA, although in 2022, the Thunderbirds will play the Madison Radicals at Highmark Stadium on June 3rd, 2022.
