The cityscape design harkens back to the very first inaugural season for the Pittsburgh Thunderbirds.

Founded in 2015, the Pittsburgh Thunderbirds are a professional Ultimate Frisbee (Disc) organization in the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL). The team is part of the Central Division and plays against the Detroit Mechanix, Minnesota Wind Chill, Indianpolis AlleyCats, Madison Radicals, and Chicago Union. The AUDL’s 12-game season commences in April and ends with the AUDL Championship in late August.
